Thanksgiving

So, today is Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday! Happy Turkey day everyone!!!

I've decided the reason Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday is because you get to spend time with everyone in your family with no expectations of gift giving and stuff. Christmas is wonderful, but even when you try to avoid the stress by going cheap or whatever, the commercialism is still there (I love giving gifts and all, but knowing I have to do it by a certain date is kind of strange, don't you think?). On Thanksgiving, we don't have to scramble to make sure we have something for everyone in the family, all our friends, all the neighbors, and all our co-workers, plus an extra gift stashed away in case someone shows up with a gift so you can give something back to them! We can just get together, eat a great meal, play some games afterwards, enjoy the time together and just feel the love! Now that's a holiday!

This year we are going to Chuck a Rama to make it stress free on everyone involved. Let's hope it turns out that way☺. But, Bryan still wants to make a turkey, so I guess we are going to have a turkey with all the fixin's tomorrow night. Yay...(that was a sarcastic yay by the way). Stress back on. Now I need to make sure my house I spotless and hope no spiders come along (since my mom is deathly afraid of spiders). I haven't had the money to spray for spiders, so we see them crawling through the family room daily. I'm sure there are many more I miss, but my mom will be sure to see them, have a heart attack and die! Great, my mom's death will be all my fault because I couldn't afford a stupid can of spider spray. Maybe I should go without my medications this month and go by a can of poison tomorrow so I can spare her life. That's a good idea, right? Of course, then I will miss a month of work with migraines and seizures....maybe not such a great idea. Hmmmm. I know, we could make the turkey and take it to her house! I think I will suggest that to Bryan when he wakes up. Okay, now the stress is off me and on to Bryan (to do all the cooking) and my mom (cleaning...). Ugh! I'm sure once they know I just saved my mom's life, they will be very grateful for the idea!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm Thankful

There are so many things to be thankful for, we receive blessings each day from our Heavenly Father, and I would be selfish if I didn't take the time at the end of each day to thank Him for giving me the blessing of the gospel, giving me my family, my friends, and my life. He is always there for me and will never leave my side. I am thankful to be a daughter of my Heavenly Father and I am thankful for the many blessings He gives to me each and every day.
